What is Julie Beau?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Julie Beau is an online boutique dedicated to vintage d\u00e9cor, characterful pieces, and carefully selected furniture.<\/span><\/p>\n

But before becoming a webshop, it was a<\/span> personal adventure,<\/b> born in Brussels, with one clear goal<\/span>:
to make vintage more accessible, more joyful, and less elitist<\/b>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A return to Belgium\u2026 and a new idea<\/b><\/h2>\n

After spending a few years abroad, I came back to Brussels and felt the urge to start something new \u2014 something that truly reflected who I am.<\/p>\n

A project rooted in what I love: beauty, colour, home d\u00e9cor with personality\u2026 and of course, the thrill of the hunt.<\/p>\n

At home, we\u2019ve always been into design. Art d\u00e9co, art nouveau, bold interiors with soul. <\/p>\n

My parents passed that on to my sisters and me \u2014 a love for beautiful things and an eye for detail.<\/p>\n

And me? I love to thrift. I love to buy (maybe a little too much \ud83d\ude05).<\/p>\n

If I could, I\u2019d keep it all! But let\u2019s just say\u2026 my wallet wouldn\u2019t agree.<\/p>\n

So the idea of buying vintage to resell <\/b><\/span>it was perfect. It felt like the right balance. <\/p>\n

Learning, training, taking the leap<\/b><\/h2>\n

Before opening my own shop, I spent a year working with an antiques dealer in Brussels.<\/p>\n

It was total immersion: watching, learning the ropes, touching the pieces, understanding the styles\u2026<\/p>\n

And most importantly: building a network<\/b><\/span>, which is essential in the world of vintage and second-hand.<\/p>\n

Then I co-founded \u201cNon Peut-\u00catre!\u201d in the iconic Marolles district, together with James \u2014 a passionate and experienced vintage dealer. He\u2019s also an artist and was a great support in the early days.<\/p>\n

That neighbourhood is a world of its own: daily flea markets, antiques, a unique mix of people and stories.<\/p>\n

From physical shop to e-shop<\/b><\/h2>\n

When the shop closed, the desire to keep going was still there. That\u2019s when I created Julie Beau<\/b><\/span> \u2014 an online version of my vintage universe, with the occasional appearance at vintage fairs<\/b><\/span> to stay connected with people. <\/p>\n

At Julie Beau<\/span>, you don\u2019t need to be a collector or a design expert<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t have to be a signed piece (even though I sometimes have those too). What matters is the spark<\/b><\/span> \u2014 that little detail that catches your eye. The charm, the colour, the vibe. <\/p>\n

I speak to everyone: men, women, younger or older, whether you\u2019re into chrome, wood or colour\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a job. It\u2019s my happy place. I never get tired of it. Every day I discover new objects, new forms, new ideas. <\/p>\n

Human creativity never ceases to amaze me.<\/p>\n

I do almost everything myself \u2014 from selecting pieces to writing SEO content, creating visuals, handling marketing and communication.<\/p>\n

And I\u2019m still learning, every single day.<\/p>\n
