You\u2019re in luck: August is THE month for big flea markets in Belgium. Some have become true institutions, others are hidden gems \u2014 but they all have one thing in common: they\u2019re perfect for finding vintage treasures.<\/b><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s my personal shortlist of must-visit flea markets this August \u2014 with handy info and my own insider tips for each one.<\/span><\/p>\n

August 3: Big flea market along the Ourthe river (Hamoir)<\/b><\/h2>\n

Not the biggest, but definitely one of the most charming.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc49 300 vendors <\/span><\/strong>set up along the river \u2014 perfect for browsing, strolling, and soaking in the calm, green surroundings<\/b><\/span>. It\u2019s the ideal mix of flea market fun and a scenic day out. <\/p>\n

My tip:<\/span><\/strong> pack a picnic or plan a terrace break to enjoy the setting. It\u2019s the perfect vintage + nature combo. <\/p>\n

August 15: Eugies flea market & craft fair<\/b><\/h2>\n

1,000 vendors<\/span><\/strong> spread over 7 kilometers of stalls <\/span><\/strong>\u2014 one of the biggest flea markets in Wallonia<\/span><\/strong>. A must if you\u2019re in the area\u2026 or willing to hit the road for it!<\/p>\n

My tip<\/span><\/strong>: getting away from big cities (like Brussels or Li\u00e8ge) often leads to the best deals<\/span><\/strong>. Fewer pro buyers, lower prices, and still plenty of hidden treasures waiting to be found. So grab your GPS, your coffee, and hit the road early <\/span>\u2014 it\u2019s totally worth it. <\/p>\n

Temploux brings together 900 vendors<\/span>, 6 kilometers of non-stop treasure hunting<\/span><\/strong>, and an incredible vibe over two full days.<\/p>\n

My tip<\/strong> : <\/b><\/span>get there early, bring water, and start with a first round just to scout<\/span><\/strong>. You\u2019ll find everything \u2014 brocante, vintage, antiques, kitsch, rare gems\u2026 it\u2019s a treasure hunter\u2019s paradise! <\/p>\n

August 24: Eghez\u00e9e flea market (indoor & outdoor)<\/b><\/h2>\n

A lovely mixed flea market with around 450 vendors <\/span>spread across the indoor and outdoor areas of the Hall Omnisport. The vibe is more local, but you can still score great home decor and furniture finds at fair prices.<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n

My tip<\/strong> :<\/b><\/span> don\u2019t skip the indoor stalls \u2014 you might find better-preserved pieces<\/b><\/span> or more specialized sellers in there.<\/p>\n

Sure, it takes a bit of planning (and sometimes an early morning wake-up call), but it\u2019s absolutely worth it.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
